Zhou Shiwu is an expert subsidized by the State Council, the first batch of stratigraphic and paleontology academic leaders in Chongqing, and a national-level cultural and museum expert. He used to be the director of Chongqing Municipal Museum, Chongqing Natural History Museum, vice-chairman of China Society of Vertebrate Paleontology, director of Chinese Society of Natural Museums, and visiting professor of Chengdu University of Technology. He has won the "Second Prize of National Natural Science Award" and the "Second Prize of Sichuan Provincial Science Progress Award".
